Durant ce stage, nous traverserons l'approche du mouvement continu d'Arno Schuitemaker abordé dans ses différents projets comme The Way You Sound Tonight et If You Could See Me Now.
Nous travaillerons à développer une transformation ininterrompue d'un même mouvement et nous explorerons les notions de durée, d'énergie et de régénération. Cela est envisagé comme un exercice : plus il est pratiqué, meilleur il devient. En cherchant à atteindre une conscience et une coordination du corps et de son ancrage, l'objectif est de se connecter pleinement à soi et aux autres pour faire l'expérience de son état performatif spécifique, de sa présence et ressentir la "convivialité" à de multiples niveaux.
During the workshop, we deeply explore the embodiment of Arno Schuitemaker's approach to continuous movement, like he worked with in projects such as The Way You Sound Tonight and If You Could See Me Now.
We will work on developing an ongoing transformation of only a single movement and explore the notions of duration, energy and regeneration. It is approached like a 'practice': you get better and better at the more you do it. Progressing to a full awareness and grounded coordination of the body, the aim is to become fully connected with oneself and others in order to experience its specific performative state, presence and to feel “togetherness” on multiple levels.
Renouant avec l'art de la performance et la danse, Arno Schuitemaker crée des œuvres qu'il faut expérimenter. Il est un des artistes néerlandais les plus prometteurs de sa génération, se concentrant sur la relation/perception entre public et interprètes.
Grâce à une combinaison radicale du mouvement continu et perpétuel avec la musique et la lumière, ses créations transdisciplinaires étirent la façon dont nous expérimentons l'espace et le temps. À la manière d'une transe, elles sont comme des méditations transformatives.
